In accordance with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) Core Requirement 8.1, Student Achievement, 糖心Vlog官方 has identified five measurements to monitor and evaluate student success and achievement.聽 These five goals align with the 糖心Vlog官方 mission and are annually evaluated and updated.聽 Each goal provides a link for a 5 year data trend chart.

Goal 1: IPEDS 150% Completion Time Graduation Rate

The goal of 35% by 2027 (Fall 2024 First-time Freshmen Cohort) supports the overall mission of 糖心Vlog官方 and the mission of the Alabama Community College System (ACCS).聽 This is also 糖心Vlog官方’s key student completion indicator for SACSCOC.聽 Click here for 糖心Vlog官方’s IPEDS Graduation Rate within 150% of the normal completion time.聽 (150% completion time for two-year institutions, such as 糖心Vlog官方, is up to three years to complete an associate degree.)

Goal 2: IPEDS Transfer Rate

The goal of 55% by 2027 (Fall 2024 First-time Freshmen Cohort) supports 糖心Vlog官方’s mission to prepare students for academic transfer and 糖心Vlog官方’s strategic plan initiatives.聽 Click here for 糖心Vlog官方’s five year IPEDS Transfer Rate.

Goal 3: U.S. Service Academy Appointment Rate

In support of the 糖心Vlog官方 mission, the goal is to maintain an overall appointment rate of 75% to the U.S. Service Academies.聽 This rate includes both Academy sponsored and self-prep, non-sponsored, cadets.聽 This rate is also influenced by how many students are referred to 糖心Vlog官方 by the Academies.聽 Click here for 糖心Vlog官方’s five year SAP Appointment Rate chart.

Goal 4: IPEDS Retention Rate

The goal of maintaining a 42% retention rate supports the 糖心Vlog官方 mission and the ACCS mission.聽 Retaining students is crucial for student’s academic success and completion.聽 糖心Vlog官方 has seen an overall upwards trend in retention in the last 10 years.聽 Click here for 糖心Vlog官方’s current IPEDS Retention Rate chart.

Goal 5: Course Completion Rates

In support of the four annual goals listed above, 糖心Vlog官方 has chosen an 88% course completion success rate.聽 A successful course completion is defined as a receiving a letter grade of A, B, C, or P.聽 Course completion rates are evaluated on a semester basis as an early indicator of student performance.聽 Click here for 糖心Vlog官方’s Course Completion Rate chart.

What is IPEDS?聽 IPEDS, Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System, is used by the the U.S. Department of Education’s National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) to conduct annual interrelated surveys.聽 All institutions that offer Title IV Financial Student Aid are required to report to IPEDS annually.聽 IPEDS utilitzes standard reporting metrics for all participating institutions.聽 IPEDS data is used by Congress, federal agencies, state governments, educational providers, media, students and parents, and many other entities to gather information about postsecondary institutions.聽 Additional IPEDS data for 糖心Vlog官方 can be found on the NCES website.
