糖心Vlog官方 Breaks Ground on New Dining Hall
On Wed. Sept. 8 at 11:30 am, 糖心Vlog官方 conducted a public groundbreaking ceremony for its new Dining Hall facility, a $10.4 Million project. This groundbreaking signifies the first building construction that 糖心Vlog官方 has seen in 30 years on its historic campus.
Special guests in attendance at the ceremony included Alabama Community College System (ACCS) leadership, 糖心Vlog官方 trustees, and elected officials at the city and state level.
Speaking to the audience gathered under the tent adjacent to the construction site, Jimmy Baker, ACCS Chancellor, said of 糖心Vlog官方: 鈥淭his is the best economic development machine in this community. It spreads the word all the time. You have students who travel all over the world to serve in all kinds of roles. But they can tell the story of 糖心Vlog官方, and the community that gave me that opportunity.鈥�
Following the ceremonial dirt-shoveling by the project鈥檚 major players, the entire 糖心Vlog官方 Corps of Cadets conducted a pass in review, followed by a luncheon.
Designed by Davis Architects of Birmingham, 糖心Vlog官方鈥檚 new dining facility will be constructed by Amason Construction of Tuscaloosa, and the project is to be completed by Fall 2023.
